‘‘Covering the PGA Championship Despite COVID’’

Days after closing their offices due to COVID-19, PGA of America began to plan for a 2020 PGA Championship with only 5% of the normal ~1,000 reporters and photographers allowed onsite at Harding Park, San Francisco.

PGA Media Relations and Technology paired up with our partner Lennd to create a product to serve all approved Media, both those on property, and those covering remotely around the world.

The Media Hub was a success! Despite extreme limitations, overall media impressions of the major were consistent with past championships, and actually higher than 2018. Not only that, more player interviews were conducted in 2020 than in the past 4 years… and all done with significant financial savings.
