What Makes an Entrepreneur Entrepreneurial? – Virtual through Zoom

This program is for everyone who has a business idea!   Have you ever wondered what makes an entrepreneur, entrepreneurial? Learn how expert entrepreneurs think and operate in the real world of business formation. This reseaerch and the entrepreneurial method was developed by our friend Dr. Saras. Sarasvathy from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Your facilitator is Professor Beth Kerly and Dr. Andy Gold

Beth is a full-time tenured business faculty member at Hillsborough Community College, and adjunct faculty at the University of Tampa.  In addition to her teaching activities, Kerly serves as the co-founder of the HCC Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. She actively works in promoting and building community and business relationships for HCC and its students. Professor Kerly is also co-founder of e2Venture and Operation Startup.

Andy is a longtime social entrepreneur, educator and co-founder of the InLab@HCC, Operation Startup and e2Venture. Dr. Gold is a full-time business faculty member at Hillsborough Community College, and teaches in the graduate school at the University of Tampa, and the University of South Florida. Gold is a co-founder of the HCC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, serving as an internal entrepreneurial evangelist at HCC.. Andy also serves as a Next Gen Personal Finance Fellow. Next Gen is a national nonprofit that conmects educators with resources and tools to promote financial capability among young people.

In this program, you will learn how to start with what you have and take action on your ideas.  You don’t have to wait to get started! Learn how expert entrepreneurs think and operate in the real world.

All InLab@HCC Workshops align with The Business Model Canvas, a tool used by entrepreneurs and business owners to validate their ideas.
