WORKSHOP | ‘Figure Out What Tech Career Is Best For You” (Boca Code)

December 11, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

FREE workshop to guide parents, teachers, and healthcare workers through the modern schoolhouses of learning in a remote environment.

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

Our economy is increasingly transforming to digital. Accordingly, people young and old are turning to careers in tech every day!

To the uninitiated, this means learning to code. But there are dozens, if not hundreds, of careers in tech, many of which do not involve writing code. And even among coders, there are a wide variety of careers and specialties.

So whether you want to become a programmer or not, learn about some of the career path, specialities, and other digital careers that might be the best fit for you.

ABOUT INSTRUCTOR

Todd Albert is a NASA Fellow, former University professor, Senior Software Engineer, and Entrepreneur. He is the Founder & Lead Instructor at Boca Code. He has taught computer programming at multiple universities, and taught computer graphics to middle-school students. Todd has gone from utilizing GIS and programming in his scientific research to applying the marriage of these technologies to MadValorem’s map-centric search platform, investing in and partnering with a web, software, and app development firm, was the lead developer for MyPhoto, and is now partnering with some brilliant colleagues to start BOCA CODE — a code school in Palm Beach County that is joining forces with local businesses to provide real projects for students to work on. He also volunteers whenever possible through Palm Beach Tech and other local organizations.
